THREE BY GODARD

I added three Godard blu-rays to my collection this week. UNE FEMME MARIÉE is available as an import from the Masters of Cinema series and is code B locked. It comes with a wonderful 80 page book full of photographs and exposition. I ordered ONE + ONE from France; it comes in a booklet style keep case with the book (all in French, of course) attached to the inside cover. This disc is code B locked also. If you’re interested in these films in high definition, you must import and have a code free blu-ray player (see my Technical page!) to enjoy them: there are no plans for domestic versions. They are both recorded at 1080p/24. The final film was just released by Criterion last week: VIVRE SA VIE comes with an informative 40 page book and is another excellent addition to their catalogue! Reviews for all three films will be posted in the coming weeks.
