DELIVER US FROM EVIL (Amy Berg, 2006, USA) A disturbing but honest documentary about the complicity of the Catholic Church and its pedophile priests to cover-up their crimes because they're more important (meaning chosen by God) than the children they victimize. Makes me glad I'm an atheist! (A)

AFTER THE WEDDING (Susanne Bier, 2006, Denmark) Heart-wrenching drama about choices a man must make for the people he truly loves, and the secret that may destroy him! Wonderful acting, taught script, and intimate camerawork make this film more than worthy of its Oscar nomination. (B)
